Club Tropik 1st & 3rd Fridays of every month

Club Tropik is a new twice a month Friday night party at Loom in Fitzrovia promoted by tropikalmusic.co.uk events. From 7pm to 9pm there are Kizomba dance classes with Miguel Monteiro & Iris De Brito. At 9pm the party starts, with DJ Marito & guests playing all tropical music styles until 1am.

Kizomba dance classes 7pm-9pm, club 9pm-1am (no entry or re-entry after 12 Midnight). Admission free before 9pm then £5 guestlist / £10 door. Dance classes 1 hour £7, 2 hours £10. Strictly over 18's (ID required). Dress code smart/casual - no hoods, caps or tracksuits.

By Tube (Metro) you can go to Great Portland Street or Oxford Circus stations. From Great Portland Street station you walk south on Great Portland Street. Clipstone Street is the 2nd street on the left. From Oxford Circus station you walk north on Great Portland Street (next to Top Shop). Clipstone Street is the 10th street on the right. Click on venue location map on the left for a map of the location, a good idea is to print out the map & take it with you!

Parking
Parking is easy to find near Loom. It is free after 6.30pm on parking meters or on single yellow lines and after 8.30pm you can also park free in residents' parking bays.

Rumba Caribe New Years Eve Party 2008/2009

Thanks to all who came to the Rumba Caribe New Years Eve Party, it was another very successful one - photos will be uploaded soon! Rumba Caribe dates for 2009 will be announced soon also.

Rumba Caribe NYE Party - following on from the huge success of the sold out 2006/7 and 2007/8 Rumba Caribe New Years Eve Parties (click the links on the left to see photos) this year we are again having a New Years Eve Rumba Caribe party at Loom. Tickets will be 25 euros in advance (£20 UK approx) - those holding advance tickets will be guaranteed entry. To purchase tickets just click the link on the left then click on "add to shopping cart" - the deadline for payment is 3pm on New Years Eve (Wednesday 31st December) 2008. There will also be a very limited number of entries at £25 each on the door. This is the third year running that we have held this event at Loom and each event has been a sell-out so everybody is strongly advised to buy their ticket in advance. Last year the venue got too crowded so for this year's event we are restricting numbers more strictly which means that there will be very limited admission on the door and early arrival is strongly advised if you do not hold an advance ticket. The club will be open from 9pm to 5am (last admission 2am). DJs on the night will be DJ Lio (Paris/Cameroon), DJ Loco (London/Colombia), DJ Marito (Portugal) & DJ Rafa_L (Paris/French Caribbean). Strictly over 18's (ID required). Dress code smart/casual - no hoods, caps or tracksuits.
